LJHS PTSA Privacy Policy

This Policy covers how we treat personal information that we collect or receive from you when you use our website. “Personal Information” is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, and/or phone numbers.

Privacy Policy

The LJHS PTSA, provides support to the LJHS community through parent involvement in school and district-wide committees and by raising funds for in-class enrichment, student welfare, and various activities through the school year. In addition, LJHS PTSA provides communication between home and school through our website, monthly PTSA parent information meetings, and ongoing email communications. We recognize that privacy is an important issue. 

This Policy also covers the images that we collect of staff, children, and parents at all PTSA sponsored programs in and out of school.  By agreeing to the Policy, you allow the PTSA to use the images on the PTSA website.  If you do not wish you or your children’s images to be used as described above, please email ljhighpta@gmail.com.

 

This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies and/or other entities that the LJHS PTSA does not own or control, to people that are not the LJHS PTSA volunteers, and/or to operators of sites to which you may link from the LJHS PTSA site.

 

Data and Information Collection and Use

The LJHS PTSA collects information from and about you when you register with the LJHS PTSA as a Member and when you use the LJHS PTSA’s website. Users who visit the LJHS PTSA’s website and do not register do not need to provide any personal information. The LJHS PTSA does, however, collect limited, non-personally identifying information from non-registered users that browsers make available whenever a user visits a website. This information includes your internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, cookies, and use patterns.

 

When you register as a Member, we ask for information such as your name, email address, zip code.

 

The LJHS PTSA uses the information we collect for the following purposes: to promote membership and fundraising events, as well as to be able to contact you.

 

Information Sharing and Disclosure

The LJHS PTSA does not rent, sell, share, or otherwise disclose Personal Information about you with other people or non-affiliated organizations or schools.

 

Information Security

Access to Personal Information is limited to LJHS parents, faculty, and staff who need to know that information to facilitate communication.
